Introduction to Sankarajyothi Ayurveda: A Legacy of Excellence

Sankarajyothi Ayurveda stands as a testament to a rich tradition of Ayurvedic medicine spanning over 130 years. The roots of this esteemed institution trace back to the illustrious Sankaran Vaidyan, the first-generation Kottaram Vaidya of Ananthapuram Palace. His profound knowledge and expertise laid the foundation for a legacy that continues to thrive today.

The second generation saw the rise of Kesavan Vaidyan, a distinguished Vaidyakalanidhi from Trivandrum Government Ayurveda College. His contributions further solidified the family's reputation in the field of Ayurveda, expanding their reach and influence.

In 1980, Dr. Adoor Rajan, BAM, embarked on a new chapter by initiating licensed manufacturing of Ayurvedic medicines under the name Kalpaka Ayurveda. This venture marked the beginning of a more structured and formalized approach to Ayurvedic medicine within the family. By 2008, the enterprise evolved into Sankarajyothi Ayurvedic & Herbals Pvt Ltd, a joint effort by Dr. Adoor Rajan and his wife, Shiny Rajan, reflecting their commitment to advancing Ayurvedic healthcare.

Over the years, Sankarajyothi Ayurveda has established various agencies in Vadakkan Malabar, further extending their reach and impact. The current generation, represented by Dr. Sooraj Rajan, BAMS, and his wife Dr. Divya S. Unni, BAMS, MD, continues to steer the institution towards new horizons. Under their leadership, Sankarajyothi Ayurveda has achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of the Sankarajyothi Ayurvedic Centre in April 2019. This center is renowned for housing the first Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgical Unit in Pathanamthitta District.

In March 2020, the clinic transitioned to its own building, emerging as the Sankarajyothi Ayurveda Multispeciality Hospital with comprehensive inpatient facilities. The journey of growth and diversification continued with the inception of Janani Prasavaraksha Clinic in April 2022 and Nila Ayurveda Cosmetology Clinic in April 2023.

Sankarajyothi Ayurveda's unwavering dedication to preserving and advancing Ayurvedic medicine underscores its prestigious legacy and commitment to holistic health and well-being.
